about topher
topher anton maintains a lifelong fascination with abandoned buildings and discarded furnishings. he’s a natural tinkerer with an old soul belief that repair usually beats replace. coupled with sentimentality, it’s the perfect recipe for a hoarder. his favorite places to spend time are lowes and architectural salvage shops, and he seeks out, repairs and woodworks with bohemoth metal Craftsman woodshop tools from decades long gone.
from his 2009 move to New Orleans until covid appeared, he gained insight and responsibility climbing from web designer to Vice President at the Gulf South’s largest event production and rental company. after the 2020 industry implosion, he set out to define and discover a new dream job. he began seeking opportunities that aligned his passions, interests, and skills. he knew a truly perfect fit would also require engaging his quirks, talents, and work ethic.
he began rescuing and repairing castoff furniture from curbs in and around new orleans as his search continued. his stockpile of three-legged chairs and unique wooden bits quickly consumed the available space in his tiny workshop. constant rearranging and innovative configuration of that modest space inspired plans for a niche organizing business. quickly, it became apparent that the intersection of market need, lifelong passion, and proven knowledge was nearby, in home improvement, repair and restoration work. in his downtime from delivering tlc to others’ homes and relief to homeowners, he crafts furniture and decor pieces that aspire to be functional works of art.
*topher anton hates spam (often disguised by the moniker “monthly newsletter”) and will send you only 3 emails a year: carefully constructed and thoughtfully informative announcements of product lines twice a year, and a randomly-timed surprise missive to maintain quirkiness.
topher anton has been intermittently producing art and decor for public art calls and private collections for over two decades. a sampling of pieces available for acquisition is presented here, alongside a few favorites currently held in private collections.
